India is a majestic and beautiful country full of gracious, hard-working people. As with many countries worldwide, India suffers greatly from the effects of HIV and AIDS. The result is a generation of orphans that continues to grow exponentially. Nearly four percent of the total population of India is an orphaned child accounting for a total that exceeds twenty-five million. Through American eyes that would be more than the total population of North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia.
Open Door Mercy Home hears the call of these destitute and impoverished children. With the purpose of providing a sound educational foundation grounded in biblical truths, ODMH is committed to serving the orphans of Eluru, India.
